Full-Time in NYC, NY - Remote OK - Senior - Business Development

Do you have in interest in blockchains, open source software & financial software and want to have an impact on a space that is still in its infancy: Decentralized Finance? Is your background in growing and scaling products and you've been on the journey from early on already before? We are looking for a marketing professional like you to join our team at Centrifuge.

This is a strategic role that will focus on product and firm positioning, user profiling, and messaging in order to establish our brand in the market. Our target market is the DeFi and more traditional Fintech market. Our product caters to both crypto-native users as well as people using crypto for the first time.

This role will also be responsible for all promotional elements including PR, content, social, community management, events, campaign building, copy, and creative.

From a management perspective, you will be the first and only person on our team with a marketing focus. You will be involved in building out our marketing team from the ground up. You will help identify the most impactful marketing efforts we can have to establish Centrifuge with the limited resources we have as a startup. You will also be responsible for growing the marketing team and scale our marketing efforts as we grow.

You will work closely with our product and sales teams to help us establish a growth marketing plan. The growth marketing team will be responsible for getting people to use our products by focusing on user onboarding, user communication with a heavy emphasis on product development, pricing, conversion, and analytics.

In this position your responsibilities and tasks involve:

  • Positioning: Coordinate with the rest of the team to develop a clear message for Centrifuge and its use cases.
  • Content: Build and manage our content/editorial calendar to attract our target audience to our properties including blog posts, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.)
  • Community: Support the launch of our chain and build a community of developers, validators, and users around it.
  • Events: Coordinate and lead Centrifuge’s presence at events.
  • Sales & Business Development: Work closely with the sales and business development teams to generate new leads and manage the funnel.
  • Social: Manage our social media presence across all forms of social media
  • PR: coordinate with members of the media around product launches and events to amplify our message and our people. Work on building our brand through media coverage.
  • Copy: create and coordinate all forms of copy both online and offline for a consistent message
  • Creative: oversee our creative design and messaging.

Ideally, your past experiences involve some of the following:

  • You have experience selling technologically complicated products to unsophisticated end-users.
  • You believe in the opportunity of decentralization and blockchains to change how the financial world works today.
  • You’ve joined an early-stage startup as a marketing team member and have successfully scaled the company and the marketing team.

There is no preferred work location. You can work remotely, or join our teams in NYC, US or Berlin, Germany.
